Hill & Knowlton Gets OpenNetwork Account

OpenNetwork Technologies, a provider of Web single sign-on and access management software, has tapped WPP Group's Hill & Knowlton to handle its worldwide public relations and communications work.

The agency's Washington, DC, technology practice will be in charge of the account. Florida agency Thorpe was the incumbent. Fees were not disclosed.

Hill & Knowlton is charged with devising a media and analyst program to position OpenNetwork as a leader in its space and show its compatibility with Microsoft's .NET platform. In addition, the agency has created a global team from its worldwide offices to publicize OpenNetwork in key markets.

OpenNetwork's flagship DirectorySmart software offers online single sign-on and extranet access management for Internet-based applications and services.

Simply put, DirectorySmart lets businesses secure and manage a user's access to confidential information and multiple applications on the Internet.

Clearwater, FL-based OpenNetwork partners include Microsoft, IBM Corp., Vignette and BEA. Besides in the United States, OpenNetwork has offices in Europe.
