Hertz adds Atmosphere BBDO,OMD

Car rental firm Hertz Corp. named digital agencies Atmosphere BBDO and OMD Digital to handle online creative development, Web site consulting, and online media planning and buying.

Hertz added those two shops when it added Omnicom Group Inc.’s BBDO New York to its advertising agency roster after concluding a review for the business.

Also, Hertz retained DDB, another Omnicom shop, as its lead agency.

BBDO, New York, is charged with creating new strategies for Hertz’s business plans for this year.

Billings were not disclosed.

Hertz has about 7,600 locations in 145 countries.

BBDO New York’s clients include DaimlerChrysler, Pizza Hut, Sony, FedEx, Frito-Lay, HBO and Cingular.
