Henderson Joins Quad/Graphics Board

Former postmaster general William J. Henderson will join Quad/Graphics' board of directors effective July 20.

Henderson, a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Postal Service, was the 71st postmaster general, serving from May 1998 until last month.

Harry V. Quadracci, president and founder of Quad/Graphics, Pewaukee, WI, a privately held printer of catalogs, magazines, books and other commercial products, said Henderson's “experience and … insight will prove invaluable to our company, given our long-standing, successful partnership with the U.S. Postal Service. We use the USPS to deliver a variety of products in home — not only magazines and catalogs, but direct mail packages too for our ground-residential parcel-delivery service, Parcel/Direct.”

In the mid-1990s, Henderson served with Quadracci on the mailing industry's Blue Ribbon Committee, an initiative founded by Marvin Runyon, postmaster general at the time, to chart the long-term development of the USPS.

Last month, Henderson joined the board of directors of Acxiom Corp., Little Rock, AR, a customer data integration company that provides data infrastructure and technology services.
