HauteLook has migrated its e-mail marketing program onto the StrongMail platform in the past two months. The companies announced the hire on April 6.
HauteLook distributes daily e-mails promoting limited-time sales for more than 850 fashion and lifestyle brands. The Web site’s goal is to send 2 million messages in fewer than five minutes using the platform.
The site’s offers run from 48 to 72 hours, so timeliness is important for the e-commerce site, said Kevin Diamond, chief technology officer at HauteLook.
“Our goal is to deliver this notification between 7:50am and 7:55am, so that our customers can act then and there and get an equal and fair chance to get the sales we have available,” he said.
HauteLook is using “burst deliverability,” a StrongMail platform upgrade for e-mail campaigns. HauteLook has also added personalization details to its messages since hiring StrongMail, as well as social media tools to promote a customer referral and rewards program.
