Harte-Hanks opens US Mason Zimbler office in Austin

Direct marketing services provider Harte-Hanks has opened a US office for business-to-business technology subsidiary agency Mason Zimbler. The Austin, TX office adds program strategy, creative development and campaign execution and management offerings to the agency’s US footprint.

Harte-Hanks acquired UK-based Mason Zimbler in February 2008 because of its digital offerings, according to the agency. Mason Zimbler provides technology brands, such as Microsoft and Cisco Systems, with a range of integrated digital marketing services, including direct marketing, advertising and branding, as well as media planning and buying.

“A lot of what the technology industry is asking for is heavily slanted toward digital and the social space,” said Kevin Kerner, managing director of Mason Zimbler US, who added that the firm will be able to better address those with the office. Kerner previously served as managing director of Harte-Hanks’ technology and telecommunications team.

Harte-Hanks traditional specialty in the technology vertical, one of the agency’s largest business areas, was customer insight, lead generation and database marketing, Kerner noted. Adding Mason Zimbler’s strategic and creative expertise, gave clients “access to an agency that understands the technology buyer and the technology marketer,” said Kerner.
