Harte-Hanks brings new talent into Shoppers business

Harte-Hanks made a pair of recent hires to its Shoppers business as it looks to build synergy between its print strategy and its online and mobile marketing.

So Young Park has been named VP, marketing for PennySaverUSA.com and will oversee brand and consumer marketing for PennySaverUSA’s network of sites, including online product, content, community, mobile and customer acquisition and retention efforts.

Park previously oversaw brand strategy, e-commerce and online marketing for Musician’s Friend Inc. and Guitar Center Inc.

Doug Williams has been named VP, e-commerce for PennySaverUSA.com and will oversee online sales, business-to-business partnerships and advertising products.

Williams was previously the director of e-commerce for Lane Bryant catalog. Prior to that, he spent eight years at Sierra Trading Post, most recently as director of e-commerce.

Consumers are “looking for new ways to become connected,” said Pete Gorman, president of Harte-Hanks Shoppers Inc., in a statement. These new hires help position the Harte-Hanks Shoppers business “to remain the leader in bringing local buyers and sellers together as we combine our print strength with what we can do online and through mobile.”
