Hanna Andersson, a multichannel retailer of Swedish-inspired clothing, tapped Mercado Software to help improve the in-site search experience for customers who shop for its apparel.
Mercado, Pleasanton, CA, will offer search, dynamic navigation and merchandising for the retailer’s e-commerce site at www.hannaandersson.com.
The Portland, OR-based retailer’s site currently offers only the ability to search by item number. But customer feedback showed such functionality was hampering the browsing experience.
Using Mercado, Hanna Andersson will let online customers sort products and dynamically refine their selections of clothing items or outfits. The Mercado merchandising tools also will help automate cross-sells and upsells to enable complete outfit and family dressing objectives.
Hanna Andersson also has 11 full-price and five outlet stores and an international catalog to complement its hannaandersson.com site.
Other companies using Mercado include Sears, Williams-Sonoma, J.C. Penney, Target, Macy’s, OfficeMax, Caterpillar, MSN Shopping and Organize.com.
