Through the partnership, JetBlue will be giving away Hanes’ new “Lay Flat Collar Undershirts” on overnight flights in June. The T-shirt will be an extra component of JetBlue’s complimentary “Shut-Eye Service,” which also features earplugs, eye shades, and a morning hot towel service.
“It is all about the surprise and delight for our customers,” said Kim Ruvolo, marketing manager at JetBlue. “We try to provide true value to our customers in any way that we can, so we look at ways to partner with well-established brands to provide extras for our customers.”
Both brands will be tweeting about the promotion and throughout the month of June, Hanes is giving away two roundtrip flights on JetBlue through its Facebook page. Consumers can enter a weekly drawing for a chance to win a flight or a Hanes.com gift card. To enter, fans must complete a submission form on a designated tab on the Hanes Facebook page.
Hanes will also screen new airplane-themed ads on JetBlue’s PlusTV network, which will air on all U.S. domestic flights during June. “It was a good fit because their TV campaign takes place on an airplane,” added Ruvolo.
