For a company that generates almost allk its revenue through digital advertising, Google has a surprisingly frank admission. Half your ads never get seen.
In a new piece of research conducted by Google and its DoubleClick ad network reveals that 56% of digital ads served up are never seen. There’s a bunch of reasons for this, says Google group product manager Sanaz Ahari in a blog post, illustrated with this handy infographic below. Some of the factors are obvious, such as ad placement on a webpage, or its physical dimensions, but as it turns out, some industries just produce more viewable ads than others.
