Greens.com Signs Five-Year, $90 Million Pact With AT&T

AT&T, Basking Ridge, NJ, said Friday that Greens.com has signed a five-year, $90 million contract for data transport, Internet connectivity, dedicated server hosting, and local and long-distance wireless services. The company partners with golf courses to provide Web-based tee-time reservations and other services for golfers around the world.

Greens.com will use AT&T Frame Replay to create a private data network that enables participating golf courses to market and sell their tee times through the Internet.

AT&T will directly connect Greens.com’s headquarters to its servers in an AT&T Web-hosting data center, which provides secure hosting for customers and convenient proximity to AT&T’s internet protocol backbone.

The Greens.com servers will connect with member golf courses around the country. The company expects to serve 2,000 golf courses in the United States by the end of the year.
