InfoUSA, Omaha, NE, said yesterday that an agreement was reached to license its U.S. business database to Google for use in its Google Local search function.
Google Local debuted in March 2004 and lets users access local business listings, maps and directions by name or business type and location.
The infoUSA business database contains telephone-verified data on 14 million U.S. and Canadian businesses. The firm also provides local business content to Yahoo.
