Google grows in Q2 2007

Internet giant Google Inc. reported revenues of $3.87 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2007, an increase of 58 percent from the same time last year, and an increase of 6 percent compared to the first quarter of 2007.

Google-owned sites generated revenues of $2.49 billion, or 64 percent of total revenues, in the second quarter of 2007, representing a 74 percent increase over second quarter 2006 revenues of $1.43 billion and a 9 percent increase over first quarter 2007 revenues of $2.28 billion.

Google’s partner sites increased in generated revenues, through AdSense programs, to $1.35 billion, or 35 percent of total revenues, in the second quarter of 2007.

Aggregate paid clicks, which include clicks related to ads served on Google sites and the sites of its AdSense partners, increased approximately 47 percent over the second quarter of 2006 and remained approximately the same as the first quarter of 2007.

In a statement to the press, the company said it expects to continue to do well this year.
