E-commerce services provider iMALL, Studio City, CA, and Web-hosting service GEN (www.gen.com), St. Petersburg, FL, entered a marketing agreement that makes GEN the exclusive provider of iMALL's Bolt-on e-commerce solution to its online merchants. GEN will offer the Bolt-on e-commerce solution to its more than 35,000 hosting clients.
Bolt-on e-commerce enables Web merchants to add commerce to their existing Web sites so they can securely engage in online transactions. In addition, iMALL will provide GEN with an online mall to showcase GEN's merchants. The mall will be launched within the next month and will include product- and store-level searching, a mall-wide shopping cart, virtual pavilions and product ads.
