Gateway, North Sioux City, SD, yesterday said it would launch a direct mail campaign to promote its new YourWare For Business program that provides cusotmized computing solutions for small- and medium-sized businesses. The program is an extention of the YourWare program for personal computers that Gateway launched last year.
The direct mail campaign will be part of a multi-media effort aimed at building Gateway’s sales to small- and medium-sized businesses. Print ads appeared in daily newspapers yesterday, and are expected to be followed shortly by TV and Web efforts in addition to the direct mail campaign, the details of which were not immediately available.
Gateway’s expansion of the YourWare program to small businesses also will encompass several service initiatives, including 24-hour, seven-days-per-week access to a cusotmer support center and business software training at several Gateway Country showroms. The program, similar to the consumer version of YourWare launched last year, also will allow cusotmers to obtain updated equipment every two years under the same lease terms.
In addition, Gateway yesterday formally unveiled its Gateway Business Solutions centers, which have been incorporated into the company’s 155 Gateway Country showrooms. The showrooms, which do not stock merchandise but instead allow customers to order Gateway products directly, also serve as regional outposts for the company’s direct sales force.
