Gaggle.net Lets Users Hear E-Mail

School e-mail provider Gaggle.net debuts an auditory feedback system that lets users like students, teachers and parents receive audible reinforcement to all outbound and inbound e-mails, blogs and message boards.

The Bloomington, IL-based Gaggle created a system that will help target users who are auditory learners by giving them the option to hear e-mails read aloud before sending. The auditory feedback system also will read received e-mails, blogs and message board posts.

This same auditory feature at www.gaggle.net will be available through Gaggle’s teacher and student blogs.

For example, after a user creates a blog entry the application will be able to read the text back to the writer before the entry is posted. Visitors to a user’s blog also can have the text read aloud.

The Gaggle Blog can be used as a podcast when it is played on the Internet. Users can produce MP3 files saved to a hard drive, creating a podcast without any extra equipment.
