Gabriner Replaces Fay as Carat Interactive CEO

Toby Gabriner took Sarah Fay's position as president of Carat Interactive, an agency with clients such as Pfizer, Hyundai, Kodak, RadioShack, Gateway and PalmOne.

Based in San Francisco, Gabriner previously was chief operating officer of Carat. Boston remains the agency's headquarters.

Fay was named U.S. president of Isobar, a marketing services network created in July by parent Aegis. The network includes Carat Interactive, Freestyle Interactive and newly bought search engine marketing firm iProspect, Watertown, MA.

Gabriner was president of Freestyle until its sale to Carat Interactive in May 2003. Changes he made at Carat Interactive include tighter integration among the agency's offices nationwide and a realigning of people and processes.

He spearheaded closer ties among direct response television, radio and interactive marketing work for clients. And he helped create and launch Carat Interactive's Internet development and affiliate and search marketing lines.
