Former Hill, Holliday executive Kelly A. Mahoney joined Newport Creative Communications, Duxbury, MA, as president. She will head an agency that offers advertising and fundraising services for nonprofits nationwide and in Canada.
Mahoney succeeds Mike Walsh, who now holds the dual title of chairman and chief financial officer. At Newport Creative, Mahoney is mandated to grow the agency beyond the $40 million-plus billings it currently pulls in. The agency offers services like direct mail fundraising, creative and project management to more than 80 clients.
Mahoney most recently was executive vice president and managing director of relationship marketing at Hill, Holliday, a Boston ad agency. While there, she managed direct and interactive marketing for clients like Dell Inc., Dunkin' Donuts, Fleet Bank, Verizon, Harvard Pilgrim and The Wellness Community.
Before Hill, Holliday, Mahoney was chief marketing officer for the e-commerce unit of office supplies retail chain Staples Inc. She held the same title at Arnold Direct before Staples and also served as senior vice president of Bronner Slosberg Humphrey, now Digitas.
