Former DoubleClick CEO and Google head of global display to depart

David Rosenblatt, president of global display advertising at Google and former DoubleClick CEO, is stepping down from his role at Google in mid-May, the company reported today.

“We’re grateful for David Rosenblatt’s contributions to Google, and we wish him well,” said a Google spokesperson in an e-mailed statement. “It’s important to remember, however, that we have a strong executive bench in place to support all of our businesses and have tapped into that bench with the naming of Henrique De Castro as Managing Director, Global Display and YouTube Advertising. Henrique is an experienced executive from our European sales leadership team and we are certain he’ll do a terrific job in his new role.”

Rosenblatt joined Google in 2008 as part of the company’s $3.1 billion acquisition of DoubleClick.
