Former DM execs form new company

Three executives with experience leading direct marketing firms have formed a new direct marketing services company and made their first acquisition.

The team behind the newly formed, privately held Princeton Fulfillment Solutions LLC are Manuel Ortiz, founder, former chairman and CEO of Direct Group; Kevin McPhillips, founding partner and former COO of Direct Group; and Stephen Pasi, former EVP, marketing and business development for Transcontinental Direct USA. All three left their former positions a couple of years ago.

The company was created to provide “the type of integrated marketing services customers need to compete in the 21st century,” said Pasi, who is CMO at Princeton Fulfillment. These services include a robust e-business platform, software capabilities for creating custom applications, print on demand, digital printing, fulfillment solutions and targeted direct mail capabilities.

With these services in mind, Princeton Fulfillment acquired M&B Technologies earlier this month. The 25-year-old company offers e-commerce solutions, custom software applications and fulfillment services. M&B Technologies founder Mike Iorio will join Princeton Fulfillment Solutions’ executive team.

The deal with M&B “gives us a foothold in all the areas we want to be in,” said Pasi. The company is looking to expand these capabilities and is targeting two additional acquisitions this year with the idea of establishing a geographically disbursed printing model, with outposts in the Midwest and on the West Coast, he added.

“The benefit of this model is increased speed to market,” and a reduction in costs from the elimination of long transit routes, said Pasi.

Princeton Fulfillment Solutions will be headquartered in Hamilton, NJ, with its operational hub in Mercerville, NJ.
