Ford and Priceline.com plan to enter into a marketing agreement next week to allow Florida consumers to name their own price for new Ford cars and trucks. The test campaign, scheduled to begin this week, will run for 90 days. Depending on the results, Ford may extend the offer to other states. Priceline.com, Stamford, CT, has had previous success with its “name-your-own-price” model in the travel market and is also currently breaking into the grocery market.
