Follett calls students back to school with SubscribeMail

Educational book retailer Follett Higher Education Group has tapped e-mail marketing services firm SubscriberMail to provide e-mail marketing services.

Follett will use the SubscriberMail platform to e-mail its 1.6 million opt-in subscribers aiming to help drive traffic to the stores and increase sales.

“It is very important to Follett to have a high level of customer service,” said Carol Mjoseth, director of marketing at Follett Higher Education Group. “We selected Subscriber Mail because of their expertise in the e-mail marketing space.”

Follett Higher Education Group is the largest operator of college bookstores in North America, with more than 740 locations across the United States and Canada. The retailer manages official on-campus bookstores usually under the names of the institutions, such as “The Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore” at University of Notre Dame.

The company also operates ten off-campus locations, which compete with on-campus stores.

SubscriberMail’s platform includes reporting personalization tools, to help measure results and tailor messaging.
