Flickr now offered in seven languages

Online photo-sharing community Flickr will launch Flickr.com in seven additional languages.

Users can explore, find, manage and share photos in French, German, Korean, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and traditional Chinese.

The Flickr service was originally introduced in Vancouver, Canada, three years ago and more than half of its users today are from outside the United States.

Flickr encourages interaction among the online community. Users can share and discover what people see and experience in their everyday lives.

With multiple languages supported, members can overcome language barriers, the company claims.

To celebrate the enhancement, Flickr is hosting some global community events starting this month in Berlin, Paris, London and Montreal.
