Firestone revised and relaunched its public service Web site cautioning consumers about tire safety just in time for the busy Labor Day weekend, the tire manufacturer said yesterday.
The site at www.tiresafety.com sends motorists monthly e-mail reminders to check their tires, as well as offering practical safety tips.
Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC, Nashville, TN, also teamed with racer Mario Andretti to launch a new driver safety education campaign. A three-year, $15 million budget is earmarked for television and print ads where Andretti touts the need for proper tire inflation and maintenance, plus monthly checkups.
Laughlin/Constable Inc., Chicago and Milwaukee, is handling the campaign.
