FindWhat Starts AdSense-Like Program

FindWhat.com began a partner distribution program that allows its advertisers to add paid search links to their Web sites, the company said last week.

The Fort Myers, FL, paid search provider dubs the automated program AdRevenue Xpress. It allows FindWhat advertisers to sign up online to add a search box or directory listings to their sites. The setup is automated, allowing Web site operators to display ads without overhauling their sites.

Advertisers can choose their implementation of the listings. In addition to a search box, they can select categories that FindWhat maps to keywords; a dynamic content option that will directly display listings on pages; and a 404 choice that shows listings on site error pages. FindWhat will split revenue generated by the ads with the Web site owner. It did not disclose the revenue split.

Karen Yagnesak, FindWhat's vice president of marketing, said the company has no plans to offer advertisers the choice of opting out of their ads appearing through AdRevenue Xpress.

“We wouldn't have added this program if it didn't add quality to our network,” she said.

Advertisers who become AdRevenue Xpress distribution partners get a 10 percent bonus if they plow their earnings back into FindWhat search campaigns.
