FedEx pilots’ union to release contract vote results

The FedEx Master Executive Council, the governing body of the FedEx unit of the Air Line Pilots Association International, will announce today at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time the vote results in the pilots’ contract ratification ballot.

The 4,700 FedEx pilots have been voting on the contract since Sept. 18.
Balloting will end at 9 a.m. Central Time on Oct. 17, with the results to be released shortly after the close of balloting.

FedEx Express, a unit of Memphis, TN-based FedEx Corp., reached a tentative agreement with the ALPA, the collective bargaining representative for FedEx Express pilots. The two parties announced the deal Aug. 27.

If ratified, the four-year contract would become amendable in 2010.
