Farina Promoted to Publisher of Time Out New York

Time Out New York promoted Marisa Farina to publisher of the weekly city magazine. Farina succeeds Alison Tocci, who moves up to president and group publisher of Time Out North America.

Farina was associate publisher of marketing for Time Out New York, with added public relations responsibilities for that title and the bimonthly Time Out New York Kids as well as more than 50 Time Out guidebooks. She joined the company in 1995 as a marketing executive.

Though Tocci takes over May 16 from Cyndi Stivers, the departing president and editorial director of Time Out New York, she will have no editorial charge. But she will have responsibility for all Time Out properties in North America.

Stivers joins Martha Stewart as executive vice president of the New York media and merchandise firm. She will handle new business development, including the new 24-hour, satellite-based Martha Stewart Living Radio. She will report to Susan Lyne, president/CEO of Martha Stewart.

All positions are based in New York.
