Eric Faintreny will become chairman/CEO of Brylane Inc. on Jan. 1. He replaces Russell Stravitz, who is resigning the same day from the position.
Brylane is a wholly owned subsidiary of Redcats and Pinault-Printemps-Redoute S.A. Faintreny joins Brylane from its parent company, Redcats, where he is chairman/CEO of Redcats Nordic and chairman of Redcats UK.
Faintreny began his career at La Redoute and has served as marketing director of Empire Stores, managing director of La Redoute UK and Vertbaudet UK.
Brylane has nine catalogs and corresponding e-commerce Web sites: Chadwick's of Boston, Lerner Catalog, Lane Bryant Catalog, Roaman's, Jessica London, King Size, Brylane Home, Brylane Home Kitchen and Brylane Home Wishes.
Meanwhile, The Taunton (MA) Gazette has reported that Chadwick’s has laid off 130 employees.
“Everyone there has known for some time its catalog business has been sluggish. There isn’t enough work,” Marco Pereira, president of UNITE 2001 — the union representing Chadwick’s workers — told The Gazette on Nov. 7.
