Experian Streamlines Operations

Experian North America, Orange, CA, reordered its operational structure yesterday from four divisions down to two that reflect its core competencies and which the company said make more sense from a customer and management standpoint.

Information Solutions, headed by Rick Cortese, and Marketing Solutions, headed by Scot Thomas, current president of Experian Direct Tech, will comprise the two main operating units of the company. Both were named CEOs of their respective divisions.

Marketing Solutions will represent Experian's direct marketing services while Information Solutions will focus on credit bureau services. Marketing Solutions and Experian Direct Tech had formerly operated as separate units. They will be combined with the database services of the former strategic solutions division and will include operations of the former Metromail and Customer Insight Corp.

“Experian is a global company and our operations in the United States are an important part of a large and dynamic organization,” said John Peace, chairman and CEO of Experian, Nottingham, UK, in a statement. “We need to support the organization by simplifying our structure to ensure that we continue to provide the best solutions on any terms.”
