Web domain company GreatDomains.com said yesterday it would send actors to perform for major financial and entertainment executives to promote its auction for three domain names — taxes.com, cinema.com and loans.com.
The actors will travel this week to Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York to play characters that represent each domain name. In addition to the tour, the Universal City, CA-based company launched a print campaign of 50 newspaper ads directed toward the specific companies that are expected to bid on the domain names.
Firms can bid on the names at www.greatdomains.com through 2 p.m. (PST) on Jan. 28. At press time, taxes.com and cinema.com had reached bids of $250,000.
