ExactTarget, an e-mail marketing services provider, has partnered with Direct Message Lab, which builds widgets and applications for mobile marketing.
The partnership will enable customers of ExactTarget to reach customers through widgets, desktop applications, social networks and other Web 2.0 channels. Direct Message Lab customers will now have the ability to add e-mail and SMS to their existing implementations.
Video, surveys, games and interactive applications such as weight trackers, can be shared to subscribers with the new platform. Each piece of information can be scheduled for future delivery and removal.
Supporting the platform is a metrics package enabling brands to analyze all aspects of their user base and the content which is delivered, according to the company.
“Customers are looking to manage all of their communication and branding from one central platform,” said Peter McCormick, co-founder and VP of partnerships of ExactTarget, in a statement. “Integration of Direct Message Lab’s capabilities expands the number of channels of communication we can offer our entire client base.”
