E-Vue Inc., a provider of technology for video on the Internet that was recently spun off from Sarnoff Corp., has named Davis-Marrin Communications, San Diego, to handle public relations. The 2-year-old e-Vue develops technology for still imaging, multimedia and video streaming on the Internet. It targets Web content creators, wireless telephone makers, moviemakers, Web site developers and designers, and Internet-enabled cable TV suppliers. The company now aims to target the consumer, multimedia and trade press for its products. Davis-Marrin claims a number of high-tech clients, including General Micro Systems, Lucent Technologies ORiNOCO, Ariel Corp. and MapleTree Networks.
