Eversave Unveils CustomerConnect Lead Generation Service

Eversave yesterday began offering CustomerConnect, a lead-generation service designed to help retailers build in-house e-mail lists.

The Woburn, MA-based firm has deals with local community Web sites such as citysearch.com. These relationships let Eversave use coupon promotions at the community sites to bait viewers into filling out marketing questionnaires that it uses to build rental lists.

CustomerConnect is essentially the same data collection system, but customized to a retailer’s needs. Member retailers will be featured in questionnaires whenever a viewer expresses interests in the company. The surveys can be used to collect information about past customers who identify themselves while filling out the forms. The questionnaires can also generate prospect lists.

Eversave offers opt-in lists from its general database of 2 million Web users. People on the lists have been asked to give their full names, Zip codes, verified e-mail addresses and shopping habits, which are broken down into dozens of interest categories.

The opt-in list can be combined with the retailer-specific list for e-mail campaigns. Retailers can manage the e-mail lists themselves or have them managed by Eversave.

As for the survey content, for instance, marketers can ask repeat customers how often they shop and what products they tend to buy.

“The customers are taking the time to fill out a fairly extensive form, so you know that your company is front-of-mind for them,” said Jere Doyle, CEO at Eversave. “And, you know that you’re getting a high-quality lead.”

Retailers will pay Eversave a fee for every customer they acquire via the service. No further pricing detail was disclosed.
