Euro RSCG Worldwide's Euro RSCG Life healthcare division entrenched itself in Spain by acquiring Esquema, the country's largest independent healthcare ad agency, and Medea, a major medical-education firm.
The companies, operating under the Euro RSCG Life Esquema and Euro RSCG Life Medea names, will offer full-service capabilities to pharmaceutical clients. Terms were not disclosed.
Based in Madrid, the acquired firms have a total 28 staff working on clients like Aventis, Cinfa, Roche, Lilly, Abbott, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Serono, GlaxoSmithKline and Rottapharm. Euro RSCG Life also has an office in Barcelona, one of 46 Euro RSCG Life offices in 16 markets worldwide with 1,000 employees.
