Epsilon consolidates data services under Abacus brand

Marketing services provider Epsilon is putting all of its data services offerings under one umbrella brand name: Abacus.

In February, Epsilon completed its acquisition of Abacus, a data and database marketing services provider to multichannel catalogers, retailers, online merchants and business-to-business marketers.

“After bringing Abacus into our family earlier this year, we immediately recognized the tremendous brand equity we had across our two well established brands,” said Michael Iaccarino, president/CEO of Epsilon, in a statement about the decision to keep the Abacus brand intact.

The structure and administration of Abacus’ cooperative will stay the same. The goal of the change is to be able to offer customers more in terms of data assets from Epsilon, Dallas.

The new Abacus data services category will include the following:

û Epsilon’s Advantage Choice becomes Abacus Consumer, a composite database of more than 250 million consumers.

û Epsilon’s New Mover file becomes Abacus New Mover.

û Epsilon’s Target Source becomes Abacus Survey, North America’s largest database of consumer survey respondents.

û Abacus Business is a new offering that includes data on 22 million businesses.

û Abacus Consumer Alliance becomes Abacus Consumer Cooperative.

û Abacus Business to Business Alliance becomes Abacus Business to Business Cooperative.
