Entertainment Campaign, Honorable Mention: Golden Entertainment

After launching its mobile app in 2015, tavern gaming operator Golden Entertainment, Inc wanted to drive more engagement, downloads, customer acquisition, and brand loyalty. It also wanted the app to resemble customers’ on-property experience to increase visitations, gaming volume, and slot revenue.

So, it partnered with VideoPoker.com to create a new “pick-em” contest and directly integrated Golden Entertainment’s CMS with the app to enable guests to earn additional mobile contest entries by logging in to their gaming or retail rewards account and playing on bar-top video poker units.  It saw strong performance metrics among guests who engaged with the in-app contesting, including increases in visits, slot revenue, and bar-top gaming volume.
