BlueTie Inc., a hosted e-mail and calendaring services firm, has partners with IT management firm CA Inc. to offer the BlueTie services to Internet service providers.
Under the terms of the agreement, CA will resell the BlueTie e-mail and calendaring suite as a private-label offering to broadband Internet service providers. ISPs will in turn be able to offer the e-mail and calendaring application to their subscribers.
BlueTie’s e-mail calendaring platform, called Featuretisements, lets marketing partners serve ads based on a user’s calendar and allows ISPs monetize the service. Every time a subscriber completes a transaction using integrated services from partners such as Business.com, MapQuest and Constant Contact, the ISP and BlueTie take a percentage of the sale.
The agreement with CA increases BlueTie’s access to ISPs, incumbent local exchange carriers and competitive local exchange carriers.
