EDS Wins $469 million CRM Contract from FranklinCovey

EDS was awarded a 15-year contract worth $469 million from FranklinCovey to provide it with customer relationship management services, EDS said Friday.

The contract is in addition to a $117 million contract awarded EDS in the first quarter to support FranklinCovey's information services program.

Under terms of the agreement, EDS will supply FranklinCovey with customer interaction center, warehousing and distribution services to support its CRM program. As part of the agreement, nearly 400 FranklinCovey warehousing and customer-care call center employees will be transferred to EDS. The company also will over time transition its Salt Lake City customer care, warehousing, product fulfillment and distribution operations to EDS.

In exchange, FranklinCovey, an Atlanta-based provider of learning and performance services, has been awarded a $25 million contract by EDS to provide learning and performance services to EDS's employees.

The agreement also calls for EDS and FranklinCovey to develop, co-brand and market online versions of FranklinCovey's learning and performance services to their respective clients.
