EDO Interactive taps new VP of brands and marketing development

Interactive marketing services company EDO Interactive has hired Sears Holding Corp. and PepsiCo veteran Jeffrey Fagel as its new VP of brands and marketing development, effective immediately, Fagel told Direct Marketing News on Jan. 10.

In the newly created position, Fagel will report to EDO Interactive chief revenue officer Mark Marinacci.

Fagel will lead a marketing team that will examine how it can “build awareness around EDO [about] who we are and what we do,” he said.

“We will enable commerce to really help marketers measure success versus simply getting people in the door,” said Fagel, who pointed out that driving traffic is not an effective tactic if it doesn’t lead to actual purchases by consumers who are just as comfortable purchasing online as they are in the aisle. As technology develops and changes, Fagel said, “marketers must really adapt to these channel-agnostic consumers.”

Fagel, who has experience in the retail and consumer packaged goods spheres, comes to EDO Interactive from Sears Holding Corp., where he served as brand director and brand development manager. He also served as brand innovation manager at ConAgra Foods and as marketing manager at PepsiCo.
