Eddie Bauer has signed an agreement to use LookSmart's Subsite Listing, which will allow the retailer to distribute content links throughout the LookSmart directory.
The links will give Internet users direct access to Eddie Bauer products on the cataloger's Web site, including men's and women's apparel, furniture and luggage. These links will appear as search results on portals such as Alta Vista, Microsoft's MSM and iWon.
Online shoppers searching for clothing on portals connected with LookSmart, San Francisco, will find listings from Eddie Bauer as part of the search results. The link will take shoppers directly to the corresponding page on eddiebauer.com.
