eCom eCom.com Inc., Palm Beach Gardens, FL, announced yesterday it signed an agreement to buy Star Dot Marketing Inc., San Francisco, for approximately $1.5 million in stock. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
The acquisition expands eCom eCom.com into additional business-to-business e-commerce sites. SDMI specializes in quality sports memorabilia and presentation concepts and designs. The company creates specialty products for corporations and businesses to use as corporate gifts, awards, premiums and employee incentives. SDMI’s sales strategy has focused on the development of joint sales agreements with professional sports franchises such as the San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers and Detroit Pistons, among others.
“The acquisition of Star Dot Marketing Inc. will provide us with significant revenues for the company, add to our business-to-business marketing resources and give us a presence on the West Coast,” said David J. Panaia, CEO at eCom Ecom.com.
