DRTV News and TeleServices News Become DM News Sections

Responding to convergence issues and other industry trends, DM News is making several changes to its lineup of publications, according to an announcement by parent company Mill Hollow Corp.

TeleServices News , the monthly supplement directed to the users of telemarketing and teleservices, will continue to be published under the same name but will appear as a monthly section within DM News starting next month. Editor Renée Wijnen will continue to cover new developments in the integration of telemarketing and Web marketing for DM News and iMarketing News, the company's rapidly growing Internet marketing publication, which becomes a weekly in January.

DRTV News, which covers interactive video marketing, will similarly be converted to a monthly section in DM News rather than a stand-alone supplement. Internet-related developments in Web TV, streaming media and embedded e-commerce also will be covered in regular sections of iMarketing News. Rob Williams, who has edited DRTV News for the last three years, will oversee the news, feature coverage, and special reports dealing with traditional and emerging areas of video marketing technology for both publications.

Mill Hollow president Adrian Courtenay said the changes in the company's lineup of titles reflect the growth and technological change in the respective markets.

“This is a matter of adapting to the marketplace and deploying our editorial resources in the directions that the market is going,” Courtenay said. “We are integrating our editorial coverage of these fields into our flagship weeklies in recognition of the fact that with the rise of the Internet and the much-heralded convergence of technologies, teleservices and direct response television are thoroughly integrated into direct marketing and Internet marketing.”
