DoubleClick Revenue, Income Rise

DoubleClick Inc.'s revenue last year rose to $301.6 million from $271.3 million in 2003, and its net income grew to $37.5 million from $16.9 million.

The New York online media company benefited from a non-operating gain of nearly $7.1 million from its sale of a 15 percent interest in AdLink Internet Media AG. A restructuring credit related to DoubleClick's Louisville, CO, office also lowered operating expenses by $4.5 million.

Fourth-quarter performance was up, too: revenue of $83.5 million versus the year-ago quarter's $72.9 million, and net income of $10.6 million compared with $3.8 million from fourth-quarter 2003.

“We benefited from significant margin improvements in ad management and e-mail compared to the fourth quarter of 2003 and had stronger than expected results from our Performics division,” DoubleClick CEO Kevin Ryan said in a statement.
