DoubleClick Inc., New York, said yesterday it has completed PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP's SAS 70 examination of the DoubleClick Network and DART system. The SAS 70 report — AICPA Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 — which took place early in the year, covers DoubleClick's development, maintenance and operation of the DART service solution system and related functions as they apply to the use of DART by the DoubleClick Network.
DoubleClick said also undergoes a quarterly Web Ad Delivery Audit to provide its clients with additional assurance concerning the operating effectiveness of the controls relating to its DART system.
“We are extremely proud to be the first in the industry to successfully complete a SAS 70 examination, which, coupled with the quarterly Web Ad Delivery Audit of the DART system, adds tremendous value to our client relationships,” said Stephen Collins, chief financial officer at DoubleClick. “The result of these examinations attest to DoubleClick's commitment to providing high quality internal controls over the management and reporting on advertising delivered by the DART system.”
