DoubleClick, Macromedia to Team on Rich Media Ads

DoubleClick Inc. and Macromedia Inc. announced a strategic alliance yesterday to develop rich media advertisements.

DoubleClick DART and Macromedia Flash MX software will be integrated in an effort to simplify the creation, traffic and reporting of rich media ads for advertisers, agencies and publishers.

DoubleClick's DART platforms provide online advertising solutions to more than 1,500 advertisers and publishers, and Macromedia Flash is a technology for delivering rich media online ads.

“By working with DoubleClick, our goal is to help publishers and agencies both reduce the cost and time required to create and deploy rich media ads,” said Beth Davis, senior vice president, marketing, Macromedia.
