DoubleClick Launches Commerce Web Sites Network

DoubleClick, New York, Friday launched DoubleClick Commerce, its seventh network of Web sites.

The commerce network is a collection of the Internet's largest commerce Web sites, ranging from online malls to auctions. It is designed to provide sites with more brand-focused sales and to serve advertisers with industry-focused experts.

DoubleClick's other networks are Technology, Business, Entertainment and Youth, Travel, Women and Health and Automotive.

The network will allow merchants to target consumers who are in the market to buy or are considering buying specific products and services.

Commerce charter Web sites include AltaVista Shopping.com, CBS StoreRunner, AT&T AnyWho, BuyBidWin.com, Yellowpagesinc.com and GTE's Superpages.com.

Features of the Commerce Network include keyword and product category targeting, sponsorship opportunities, run of commerce, run of network and e-mail product buys across branded commerce sites. The Commerce Network targets promotional sites, broad-based retailers, malls and comparison shopping sites.
