There’s a flock of social networks available to marketers and consumers today. And these channels present a range of opportunities. According to Ascend2’s “Social Media Marketing Trends” report, enhanced audience engagement (64%), heightened brand awareness (54%), and increased lead generation (41%) are the top three social media objectives for the nearly 300 business, marketing, and sales professionals surveyed.
There are a number of ways respondents say they can achieve these objectives—such as by creating intriguing content or advertising on social networks. But poor analytics and inadequate resources can hold these professionals back from spreading their social wings. In fact, 50% of respondents cite the inability to measure ROI as their most challenging obstacle to social media marketing success.
