DMNews to refresh brand

DMNews is poised to debut a completely refreshed brand, including a new logo and magazine, a revamped website and an iPad edition. The brand’s new name, Direct Marketing News, is designed to emphasize the breadth and depth of our marketing coverage, which no longer stands simply for “direct mail.”

“Make no mistake – all marketing is direct,” said Carol Krol, editor in chief of DMNews. “That is why we are spelling it out: Direct Marketing News. It is who we are and what we’ve done for more than 30 years.”

On September 20, the daily online news alerts and weekly e-newsletters—E-mail Marketing Weekly, Database & CRM Insider and Digital Insider—will reveal the new logo and online look. The iPad edition planned for the launch will offer our audience an entirely new platform to experience Direct Marketing News.

The new standard-size magazine, Direct Marketing News, will launch as a 68-page monthly edition on October 1 with more in-depth features, an extended section of “The Work” campaigns, more interactive elements and additional opinion opportunities.

“Our monthly content will give us a deeper dive into the most important trends and issues within the industry,” added Krol.

The last biweekly print issue will be this issue, August 23.
