*DMA Names Rigano Executive Vice President

Frank A. Rigano was named executive vice president of operations and administration at the Direct Marketing Association yesterday.

Rigano, who spent the last 18 years with the American Management Association, will oversee the DMA’s information systems and technology, human resources, marketing services, library and research services, Web-site strategy, professional training and other learning operations.

“He will help us improve existing services and will undoubtedly help us develop strategies to deal with the new business challenges many direct marketers find themselves facing,” president/CEO H. Robert Wientzen said in a prepared statement about the newly created position.

While at the AMA, Rigano was responsible for revenue from the sale of most of its professional products. As senior vice president of business services, he introduced new products in the United States and internationally and pioneered the development of business-to-business database marketing.
