DMA Hosts Telebriefing on Datran Settlement

The Direct Marketing Association will hold a telebriefing tomorrow on what the Datran e-mail settlement could mean for marketers.

Datran Media's recent $1.1 million settlement with the New York attorney general's office could set a troubling precedent for any firm using e-mail marketing, according to the DMA.

Jerry Cerasale, DMA senior vice president for government affairs, will host the call. He will be accompanied by the DMA's outside legal counsel, Stuart Ingis, partner for DLA Piper's e-commerce practice.

The call is free to DMA members. Nonmembers pay $199. More details are available on http://www.the-dma.org/councilevents/datranteleseminar/
