DMA Announces 2002 Hall of Fame Inductees

The Direct Marketing Association board of directors yesterday approved the selection of four industry leaders — Jock Bickert, Jonah Gitlitz, Robert D. “Bob” Kestnbaum and Ralph Lane Polk II (posthumously) — to be inducted into The DMA Hall of Fame.

The four will be formally inducted at the DMA's 85th Annual Conference & Exhibition on October 22, 2002, in San Francisco.

Established in 1978, The DMA Hall of Fame honors direct and interactive marketing professionals' outstanding career contributions to the practice, growth and stature of the direct and interactive marketing discipline. It now includes 81 honorees.

“These men are true leaders in the direct marketing industry,” said H. Robert Wientzen, the DMA's president/CEO. “Their contributions to the theory and practice of direct and interactive marketing has had a profound impact on the industry worldwide.”
